Our big, beautiful Columbia River. My wife doesn't like bridges and she hates this one as it is 4.5 miles across.

Are you from there, originally?

Forgot to say - I should show you a pic of the blast crater in Mt. St. Helens that is two miles long, a mile wide, and a mile deep - and you might change your mind.

looks like Astoria... been there a few times on my bike. Some of the roughest water anywhere. Your coast guard trains at the mouth of the Columbia there. Where the river hits the ocean on a rising tide... whoa... not a place for the canoe.

Yeah the Columbia Bar is one of the deadliest stretches of water in the world/ All hell breaks loose when the Columbia hits the ncoming tide.
