Our electric is back on...

It came back on around midnight. The clock radio was blinking a time. That's how I knew when! Thanks, thanks, thanks for the prayers. Dayton and Columbus, Ohio got hammered also. That Ike was one whale of a storm to put a it's tentacles into Ohio. Strange thing though we didn't get any rain with it. We've only had one significant rainfall since June. No one was injured here but there were deaths all over the Midwest. Many power and phone repair crews had been sent south to help with the storm. My new son-in-law is an EMT and his company sent many personnel south to help but he was able to stay here. He's working many hours of overtime though. The news department at one of the local TV stations said that Dayton, Ohio had so much power outage that they were recalling their power crews from the south temporarily. As I have been talking with many of my Christian friends we agree that God is dealing with this country. Not saying we know the mind of God but comparing this country and his dealings with Israel of the past. I'll be trying to get caught up on posts. May God bless each and every one of you.

I think God was very kind...had this power outage been in the winter it would have been much worse I am sure. I have to agree that this country needs to wake up and realize continuing to be immoral is not going to make things better,,,only worse.

It is amazing the reach of a hurricane. Back in '69 Hurricane Camille hit Biloxi Mississippi. I was in Basic Training in Texas. It went from 102 degrees in the shade and no clouds to us running back to the barracks knee deep in rain water and black sky. 2 weeks later I went to Biloxi for training and spent another 2 week repairing the base and going into town to help rebuild the community and look for missing persons. The hurricane wiped out everything that was on the beaches...restaurants, casinos, everything.

We did get a lot of rain up this way...I am sure partly due to the hurricane you guys were touched by. Tentacles sure reach far indeed,

Glad you guys are ok.

Oh, Paul, so glad you have the power back on! I didn't have power twice one year....once in the summer.....(which lasted about a week) and once in the winter, which came on sooner! In the winter, food can be put in the cold but in summer food spoils and doesn't last very long unless kept in the cold.....no springbox like we had on the farm where the spring water was a steady 50 degrees or less!

Even fans won't work without electricity unless a person uses a generator and those are dangerous unless used properly! Many in Texas have died from carbon dioxide poisoning from using generators! Sorry you didn't get rain and I know you all need it!

Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for answering our prayers for Paul (NWO) and may those still lacking power have it back on really soon! Amen!

God Bless!
