Critter always good to find silver.Chance is a rescue dog and getting old for a Great Dane 7yrs,we got him about 6 yrs ago. Thanks Ron

Mine is a female and a silver-blue one called Frost my daughter got for me as I always liked a Great Dane and she got a good deal on mine as it was used for breeding 2 litters. most don't know that these are lap dogs and love to do just that and when strangers comes around their bark will scare many away. Last time I took her for a walk on a Leach she had me running faster than I ever thought I could run as she was helping me run this fast by pulling me along.

Rick,LOL,mine too makes a wonderful lap down, its like that commercial where this guy has an elephant following him around.Seriously Great Danes think they are a lap dogs, at 155lbs it doesn't workout too well.Though very gentle dogs. Thanks Ron

Hey Ron, a tip for you about dogs...A friend's dog was having trouble getting in and out of bed due to joint pain as it is getting older. He picked up those supplement pills that have condrontine and glucosime in them (you want both in the pill as the results are better, and I'm sure I spelled them wrong). This stuff rebuilds cartilage and cushions joints. It's done wonders for humans too, and my friend says his dog a month later is moving around like a pup again. You can also get the stuff in treats but usually it's not in high enough concentrations to do what it needs to, but is a nice supplement to when you are giving them the pills. The stuff can be bought at any pet store.

Part of the reason for the joint problems with dogs is that in the wild a K-9 would be eating and chewing the cartilage off of animals it kills. Lacking that source in their diet they need it in other ways, just like humans do. How many humans do you know who chew the cartilage off of chicken bones or other animals? And even if they do they don't eat it enough to make a difference.

Way off topic now for sure but...

My view is the human (or animal) body is a machine, and like all machines it needs various things to keep it running well. God provided those sources of stuff to correct things and keep it going strong, we just need to take advantage of it. That's my opinion anyway. That's why a lot of fruits and vegetables don't give people all the trace minerals they need. You'd be shocked what the body needs. Tin, for example, is vital to hearing. The crop fields have been planted for so long that those trace minerals are pretty much gone. When they put fertilizer on the fields it doesn't have all the trace minerals in it for the plants to pick up. Just what they need to make them grow fast/big.

There are bottles at health stores that you can buy that look like a 5th of liquor. The stuff is mined from prehistoric shale and has like 100+ different trace minerals in it. You do a shot a day. I thought it was all fluff until I hadn't seen a friend for a few months and he looked 20 years younger, as he always looked like he was on death's doorstep to me. I asked "what's going on with you, you look great?" That's when I found out about that water with all the trace minerals he was getting from the health food store. I sound like a commercial I or spammer I know, but several companies make the stuff and I'm not naming any names here to push one. Just a way off topic FYI...

Sorry, way off topic but for what it's worth...

Good finds always a silver is welcome . Nice dog Jim
