well we have been detecting for 8 weeks now, and have just paid for our first ace 250 with the coins we have dug up,, we have 370 coins for a total of $424.30..not counting 1 & 2 cent, there is a total of 73 of those so far,, the most coins of one value are $2 which we have 157 of,, it seems as though they are the easiest to lose,or may be the easiest to find,,

cheer Roger

Don't you gust love those $ 2 coins.
We have them here but don't find them in the quantity you do.
Good find in the high total money amount...

Totally awesome!:super:Fantastic!:bouncy:Well done!:please:Happy Hunting!:)

Way to go Roger!
The $2 coins are far easier to distinguish from screw caps than $1 coins. You'll still find plenty of those as well! The beauty of the Ace is that it solidly locks in both these coins on the same notch and unlike most detectors, these coins very rarely show up in any other notch. Even with some corrosion on them!
The other great thing about the $2 coin, is the fact that the size it is, when dropped, it doesn't give off that ching sound of a coin hitting the ground. Too bad.:bouncy: We are very lucky to have them. I'm just waiting for the mint to start making $5 coins! They have thought about it in the past. I guess that inflation will one day motivate them to change. A note only has an average lifespan of around a week, so maybe they may want to save some money by minting coins instead.
