Pairing the new x35 coils

I am currently running V5.1 with a 9 inch lf coil. I have a new x35 coil on the way. Can i just pair the new coil or would it be best to reload 5.1 with the new coil paired? I guess what i mean is will all of the menu options for the new coil be in the coil when i pair it or will must i reinstall V5.1 for them to be loaded?
