The diagnosis.

March 5th, 2010

He has been diagnosed with acute leukemia. He was admitted last
night and released to go home for the weekend.

The initial prognosis is as follows:

Without treatment his life expectancy is about 6 weeks.

With intense chemo treatments for one week followed by a 3 week
recovery time in the hospital, the odds are a 20% chance of the
leukemia going into remission for a year.

This is based on averages of acute leukemia patients as I
understand it....
