Here is a link to Part 2 of my Coiltek 15" All Terrain X-TERRA coil review, at Minelab's TreasureTalk blog post:

Again, if you have specific questions, don't hesitate to ask. HH Randy

you mentioned it is more weight than you are comfortable with without a harness.....what is the weight compared to the stock coil? With the x70 being so light, does it seem really unbalanced? thanks for the review Randy

Terry, the Coiltek 15-inch ALL TERRAIN coil at 7.5 kHz weighs 1lb. 8.6 oz. In comparison, the 10.5-inch Minelab X-TERRA Double-D at 7.5 kHz weighs 1 lb, 4.2 oz and the "stock" 9-inch Minelab Concentric at 7.5 kHz weighs 1 lb, 2.4 oz.

As I mention in the article, it does make the X-TERRA a bit "nose heavy" to me. I can imagine myself swinging that thing all day long, a few years ago. Unfortunately, life can turn on a dime and those days are gone. I'd have to use some counter-balance today. Speaking of which.......now don't laugh until you consider the types of isolated places we hunt (no one is going to see you) and how far it can be back to the truck (if you want to use a different coil).

6 ounces more than the stock coil is considerable. Compare the stock coil to the 10.5. Feels like an extra pound on the end of the rod, and it's only a few ounces more.
