Pennies and Nickels may someday disappear from circulation!

Seeing how they give them away at most stores seems kind of silly to be bothered with them. Plus metal detecting would be better if we didn't have to deal with them.
 
but if they stop making them altogether - even the junk will be worth more.

i find a zinc and it's eaten away - it gets tossed!
 
Todays price of $3.91 per lb for copper means that 3 rolls of pre 1982 pennies equals $3.51. $3.51 for $1.50 isn't too bad. Nobody seems to be buying just yet. Ralph
 
I've already started rolling up pre-1982 pennies. I figure why not? I'm not losing any money by keeping them and they are worth more than 2 cents right now.
 
Don't wish for it, the corporations will be the only ones to benefit from it.Something that cost a penny or a nickel will turn into a quarter or a half dollar.The working man will lose again.
