Peoria Illinois

Howdy all,

The wife and I are loading up the RV and making the drive from Houston to Illinois to spend our vacation in the Peoria County area on Monday. I will be there wednesday through next weekend. I was hoping one of our fellow forum members was from the area and would like to meet up for a hunt, or at least could point me in the direction of a spot or two to check out while Im there. Houston is such a relatively new place Im excited about the idea of being able to hunt somewhere with a longer history, but of course never having been there I have no idea where to go.
Thanks,
Bell

There is a lake near where the original town was built. There are two lakes or it is double in size today I am not sure which. But the older part of Peoria is near the lower part of the lake I believe.

I'm from Chillicothe - 20 miles north of Peoria. I would love to get together with you for a hunt or 2. How do we get together?
