Perhaps my best find of our :ukflag: trip ....

.... perhaps my best and oldest find for the trip.

Sorry for the bad photo / edit but was taken in my B&B room with not enough lighting. What you are looking at has been preliminarily identified as a bronze Celtic eye broach or eye button. That means it's likely pre-Christian. It's about 3/4" long. The spots you see on it would have been either enameled or where there were semi precious stones. The brown you see around the premiter and on the back is mud dried on the piece that hasn't yet been cleaned off.
