I'm looking to raise cash, so considering selling my back-up Periscope. I know they are extremely hard to come by since Ott went out of business years ago and Periscope users/addicts hang on tight to these. I see fewer than one a year come up for sale on the internet.
Anyhow, my main unit is still working fine and this back up unit that I might sell I never did use, so it's quite mint condition. It will come with everything in the original carton such as cordura pouch, video, etc. No batteries were in it during storage, so no leakage. It's a slightly different model in that the pitch does not rise as high as the regular Periscope. It's a variant for users who have some hearing loss in the high frequencies but it still does the job fine for those with normal hearing. Everything else is the same.
Send me a PM if interested and an idea of what you're willing to pay. I'll take private "soft" bids this way rather than post a price now as I may not sell it unless it fetches a good penny. I might also consider a partial cash/partial trade offer. I'm open to all trade ideas but I'd love to trade for early US commemorative coins (1893-1950), especially the commem half dollars.
Before any e-handshake I will take a bunch of photos to email to the winning bidder for approval.
To be honest, I hate to sell it but something needs to go right now and get liquidated. If not the 'scope, maybe a detector or two has to go.
