permission to hunt?

Thanks for all your help guys better find a new forum guess i pissed everyone off over the christmas exchange deal, thats fine though

There's a lot of posts that go unanswered. Don't get your coil cable in a knot! Simple go to the top. Ask the preacher. Also stay out of the cemetery.

Hello Mr. Preacher, I'm Traviswells. Would you mind if I used my metal detector around the church some?

Notice I didn't say things like treasure, dig, money, coins, rings or bones. Keep it very simple.

Relax man you,ll get your answer eventually. Threes always someone that'll respond to the questions.
Hunting old church grounds could be a problem.
The first thing I'd do would find the nearest neighbour and find out who owns the property and try and get permission to be on the site.
The people closes to the church or any one close by may be able to direct you to the right answer to your question.
If there a no tresspassing sign I would not go near it.

 we"v all gotta sleep some time Travis.
ask the big man & see what he says  seriously if it"s still in use ask the pastor, if not in use as Joel said find who owns it then ask & if it"s not in use & on public property go for it BUT i"d research it thoroughly as i"v found some church goers are not as forgiving as the god they worship

Im sorry fellas i should not have posted that like that.. i really was just having a bad night, very sorry you guys always give me the best advice on here,, plus the ground is froze up here and im going bonkers... thanks alot fellas:rage::stars::yo:

if the neighbors can not tell you who owns the property, check
your court house records for the owner.
if owner is in town, call them,if not, send them a letter asking for permission

Lots of time I will ask for the care taker, the guy that mows and cleans and talk to him cause not only will he probably let you he will give you the best times and days to do it so you don't offend any other members. Discreet is the best policy with church's:usaflag:
