Congrats on the new camera. I just got one about a month ago. Actually
I bought two of them just alike as I plan to modify one to use as a trail camera
this spring. I bought store demo's off fleabay, and basically got two for the price
of one. The first was almost like new. Just a few very faint scratches on the LCD.
You can't see them unless the light is right, and with it on, they vanish.
The second I bought was mint in the box and still has the tags on it.
Mine are Sony DSC-W290's. One reason I got those was the 720p HD video
they will record. Looks pretty good. The stills are 12.1 MP..
Already some good suggestions. I'd also suggest looking for a different site
to store your pictures, rather than uploading them to the different forum sites.
IE: photobucket, etc.. Myself, I use my own web site server room. That way
I can do anything I want, including videos.
Being I use my own server, I'm not really up on using the sites server, but judging
from what I see, I think it has to be uploaded as an attachment. IE: the "upload
file" that you see highlighted in blue.
But if you use your own server or photo site, you use the "insert image URL"
button that has the envelope looking thing on it. You have to hold the pointer
over those icons to see which is which. The one I'm talking about is the one
to the right of the "globe and binoculars" looking button.
I just made a sample image of my 250 gear in the garage. It started out as a
12 MP , 5 MB size image, but I processed it, and shrunk it down to an appx
85 kb or so file. Fairly small as photo's go..
So now I will click on that "insert image URL" button, and when it pops up
I will paste my photo URL into that box. I paste over the "http" it has in the box
to begin with. My URL already has that, as I "copy" the URL directly from the
browser that is showing the image. You don't want the http: stuff twice..
So here I go..
I just did it, and you can see the "img" text that tells the forum to show the pix..
When you preview, or actually look at the post, you just see the picture in
place of that text.
I did a preview, and yep, it worked..

BTW, that pix shows the 250, the 9x12 coil, the sniper coil, and the
V2 pinpointer.. My probe and digger stuff is in the trunk of my car.. Too
lazy to get that stuff out.
