Hope this pic works. Saw the earlier post on the PI1000. This is the second one Ive had and it looks like it has been sitting in a closet since it was bought.
Found this ring with thePI 1000 while on vacation. It is 18kt white and yellow gold with a 1ct Princess diamond.

Nice find with a machine from the past, Does the unit lose the threshold and need adjustment every so offen?
Keep us psoted <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Paul,
Yes it does>> As I go into deeper water I have to retune it and you cannot work fast with it. But it does have very good depth.

After thought: My old PI1000 didnt seem to do this>> I am thinking of maybe putting that circut board in this unit. I dont know if they(White) changed the board or if someone had done something to it before I bought it.

I have a PI-1000, HAD IT OVER 20 YR. YOU HAVE TO RE TUNE it all the time.Do a air test with the ring,my guess PI-1000 will only detect it from 4" to 6" a modern PI with a 11" coil should detect that ring from 10" 16" air test.you probabgly dog a large hole try-ing to pinpointing it.
