PI Comparison

Would like to know the comparison of what the PPS and the delay time is between the SURFMASTER PI PRO and the DETECTOR PRO PI. Thanks.

On the Detector Pro PI the figures are probably in the range of this:
Pulse delay: 15 to 50uS.
Tx Width: 30 to 150 uS.
Tx. Frequency: 2000 to 10.000 PPS
On the Surfmaster PI Pro:
Pulse delay of 15uS.
Unfortunately I don

Couple of question for you, Bill. Why is high frequency important in a PI? Would that give the edge in depth (for certain items) to the HH? And lastly, will the Goldquest detect deeper than these two or about the same on salt water beaches, since it seems to have originally been designed with prospecting in mind? Apologies if you've answered these questions many times before.
TIA and HH.

Gary,
I've tested my Goldquest against a modified Surfmaster PI, and the depth advantage is quite significant to the Goldquest, especially on gold targets.
I am 100% an end user, so you don't have to worry about any inflated claims.
I am confident in stating that these figures are accurate on some coins and rings that I tested:
Target 1: Surfmaster detected item at 8"
Goldquest detected item at 12"
Target 2: Surfmaster detected item at 10"
Goldquest detected item at 14"
Target 3: Surfmaster detected item at 4"
Goldquest detected item at 7"
Overall, the Goldquest detects all items at least 30% deeper than the Surfmaster.
These depths relate to fairly small Australian coins, and a medium sized 18ct gold ring. I have dug coins/rings in the wet sand much deeper than those listed.
I know nothing about the Headhunter, but would guess it's performance would lie in between the Goldquest and Surfmaster....maybe ?
Hope this helps
