Hi, I would like to better understand the difference between 2 pulse units and their terminology. The Whites PI Pro has what is called a Gain Control.
The Detector Pro HH Pulse has what is called a Frequency Shift. From what I read, I understand the basic manufacturer written concepts behind gain control and frequency shift. However, since these 2 controls seem to do different things, does this mean that the HH pulse is always set at max gain? Or are these controls on both units basically doing the same thing- Pulse Delay?
I wonder because without a gain control, would the HH pulse have too much power at certain beaches, while the PI Pros power could be reduced in such situations? If not, why have a gain control?
Thanks for helping on this- Chris.
