Picked up some wallet gold

New member
A few weeks back I had a chance to acquire some nice wallet gold from N. Idaho. I like this size as it makes nice pendant pieces and keeps the price within reason. These 6 pieces weighed 27.7 grams. These were small enough to just do the bails and not completely wrap them as on past pieces.
The 3 pendants here weigh, before bails 3.2, 4.5 and 6.5 grams. The other piece is about 1/2 ounce and is 14k wrap so no solder touches the gold piece. I buy all bails and gold wire and a friend does the actual soldering for me at a reasonable price. I'm getting into doing my own soldering and have the torches, grinders, polishers, etc. and the video Learn to Make Gold Nugget Jewelry with Paul Badali. just need to start practicing.

Hi Allen,

That is some beautiful gold, and the gold pendants are really nice as well!

I had heard about Paul Badali's video, and wanted to get one, as did Uncle Ron down in Wickenburg.

I need to find some handwork to do, as my knees are almost gone, and it is becoming more and more difficult to get around!
