Hit a sports field near home. Only dug the strong, shallow beeps. Just like yesterday, the ground is frozen, but I caught some loot and a crab. :)

- - And I'll take one of your off days, anytime. You are the man!

in parks with the Scorpion, do you use all metal at all? or just disc mode...curious, as I have not had a chance to get beyond my home only once, as per the rain but have been looking at some parks here.
You are dialed in well with the Stinger...

I got about an hour hunt in along side a large river here that has gold, got alot af small peices of lead jammed in the cracks of bedrock. Really enjoyed using it. Once it was dialed in, it just purred along. Much easier than I had thought about the Scorpion ground balancing. Very light and very sensitive machine. It will get smaller lower conductors than my Infinium, now I got all the bases covered, except a ultra high freq machine (50k +). Dont know if I even need it really.

When I hunt parks, I use the all metal mode, unless there are too many signals, then I hunt in discriminate at the factory suggested setting and pop out all good sounding targets. I turn the audio knob up till gets unstable, the turn it back one complete turn. That is usually where I get my best over all tuning on mine. It sure loves anything that resembles a ring shape, including those beaver tail pull tabs. I like hitting areas where they are common, as most people won't hunt these areas, and they help date the site as going back a few years. Good luck with your hunts. looking forward to seeing some of your finds.

Some keen insight, there, from one of the experts. Thanks, John.
