Pinpointing with a 12x15" SEF coil

Can anyone tell me their experience with pinpointing with a 12x15" sef coil ? Have you had trouble? I have..and am ready to return the coil to kellyco...but first my question is.......I run the coil ON 16-19 sensitivity in my shallow water hunts.......Is it possible that I may need to reduce the sensitivity to say 5 ..when i want to pinpoint?

I don't know about that specific coil, but I run my sensitivity lower than that with the stock coil, when I am at the beach.
What did the folks at Kellyco tell you?
I will be watching for replies as I am looking at one of those coils also.
Good Luck

Tony

well..the sad part about kellyco is....they seem to not call their customers back. I worked with one individual when i purchased my third detector from them...and never got a call or email back on a few question or concerns that i had......now....i decided to buy the coil through another person there and ....i called and left a message for a call back on Monday...and i still havent gotten a call back. Ive pretty much had it with kellyco all together! I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the past few yrs and ...I think they stink!( in regards to after the sale)

On another note...I tested the 12x15 coil today and found that if when I want to pinpoint....I switch to "auto" sensitivity...it works ok

oh..and on another note...I havent seen much depth improvement with this large coil....but I need more time with it. it is very quite though

A fine gentleman at kellyco saw my post here and called me........"Jw".... thanks!!!!!! Much appreciated
