Platinum ring target ID

Has anyone found a platinum ring with a Safari? If so, would you please share what the target I.D. and tone is/was? I know that 'Plat' rings are very hard to find but I want to make sure I am not discriminating them out on my MD......thanks again!

This 8 gram platinum diamond ring I found a couple of years ago came in at a solid 11. Appraised for over $11,000!

That is a really beautiful find you had then!!! I think I would have had a heart attack seeing that pop out of the ground!! Thank you for re-posting with the stats on the I.D.

I have read that Pt can come in as a 14 on the Safari. But I have no personal experience, unfortunately.

On the low end of the target I.D. scale, I usually have from 4 to 24 open so 11 and 14 are open when I'm looking for gold. Obviously, like most of us, I rely heavily on tones much more than the I.D. The tones don't lie unless you have multiple targets under your coil and then it gets a little difficult to separate the targets and individual tones. Thanks for the feedback and I hope to post a plat; ring soon! That would be a first for me.
