Platypus Coil

Does anyone use the platypus coil with the Sov GT?

Does It have an edge over the stock 10" tornado coil?

I have never been informed there is a Platypus for the Sovereigns and don't see anything on Doc's site either, I do know they make them for the Explorers as I had one for mine and took a while to get used to it, nice coil to get into places as it is not as wide as the stock coil..
On the GT I find the 10 inch Tornado does good for most of my hunting and if Trashy the S-8 of Sun Ray does great. If you need a little more coverage then the S-12 is the best big coil I have ever used.

They do make em for the sov, its no deeper, but thanks to the longer but narrower footprint, 8.5X11. you get a differant ground coverage.
up to you to work out if you need that footprint to suit the type of detecting that you do.
