Heres my stuff from my first time out this spring
I like the coil, very sensitive to small items, very stable and runs good in the iron... hunted a little rev war camp today.. best find was this
Pewter artillery coe horn button

WTG Jim,
you did good first time out with the Platypus,
Just walked in with the second trip out using the Platypus, The Platypus is a winner!
I like the added coverage without the unbalanced feeling from the larger coils,
Congrats, Paul (Ca)

I also like mine. Got out on Saturday and worked a school yard with some friends. It's very sensitive to small items and pinpointing is a snap. When I get into a real trashy areas I like to work the tip of my coil in and out of all the trash. I found it a lot easier to do with the platypus because of its shape. I also like the better balanced feel it gives you than the stock coil. They say its the same weight as the stock coil, but it feels lighter to me. Here are my finds with it (also got lots of clad).

it looked pretty much the same new, but with a little more surface aroundthe edges, its a cuff sized pewter button worn bythe continental artillery, its called a coehorn because of the canon type thats portrayed

It sure is pleasing to see the new coil working well for you all. Makes all the hard work worth it!
Thanks to all and keep posting your finds.
Best regards
Trev @ Coiltek Adelaide.
