i found these coins while detecting on a pasture that was part of a colonial homestead. 1819 and 1826 large cents and an 1868 shield nickel. also found were 4 IH, two horseshoes and 4 homemade nails. i am feeling more and more comfortable with this coil. next weekend i will cover the same ground with the WOT and i will post the finds if any.

Not your finds, they rock!
I can't believe that no-one is posting grats on finding two large cents. Everyone is spoiled on this forum I guess. It's getting to the point it ain't worth the time to even post finds here.

Hey' I'll be the second one up - these finds are outstanding - I have to wait a good long time to match a day like this one - I can pick up one here and there that are similar but 3 in one day? - not lately - congrats!

Great finds copperhead! I've never found any of those before. WTG!

I'm taking a look at the Platypus. How do you like it?
-Neil Crowley

i like it, it is well balanced and light. i hardly ever used the 10.5 in favor of the wot or the sunray 5.3. i think this will be a very popular coil.

I mainly use the WOT and sometimes the 7.5" Minelab coil but feel the need for something inbetween. Thanks for the information.
