I was playing around in my test garden today with my 705 mostly with the quarters, "silver and clad" using 10.5 DD 7.5 khz. to see if there is any noticible difference between the silver and the clad, (no noticible difference to me) First in disc and then in AM, then in prospecting. (7" Quarters were hit and miss in disc). (Not great but definitely a diggable signal in AM). (Blow your ears off in prospecting)!! Which leads me to a question. I was wondering why there is such a significant difference in depth power between AM and prospecting? Aren't they both sort of AM mode? Could it be because even in AM the machine is still using power to I.D. and such? If prospecting can harness that kind of depth power, couldn't AM mode harness similar depth power? Just curious if anyone could enlightening me as to why the difference in AM and prospecting? Thanks for reading and Happy Hunting.
