Dear fellow obsessed MD'ers - I usually hang out on the Beach & Water Forum.
I know this issue has been beaten to death, but if you can whack that dead horse a few more times I would greatly appreciate it.
Am going to buy a PI this Spring and want the BEST for the following conditions: I hunt primarily beaches on the Central Coast of California. Don't scuba, just hit the beaches at low tide... Must be waterproof. Some of the beaches are heavy with iron, but some seem to be free. Looking for the best PI that will get me down deep for the gold objects (plus coins & other jewelry).
Can you also use the PI around old gold mines? We have hundreds within a 2 hour drive from me.
Thanks, Mike <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
