Please help me ID a coin!

Can anyone please help me ID a copper coin I acquired recently? It is about 1.05 inches (26.76 mm) in diameter and about 0.05 inches (1.29 mm) thick. I've attached a rough sketch (OK, so I'm not an artist!). The coin is well worn, but the reverse definitely has "NORTH WALES", and the obverse has two words, one of which seems to be "NORTHAMTON" but the "N"s too worn to read. The other word ends in "S".
There doesn't appear to be any date or denomination.
Thanks for your help!

Very similar to the photos above, but definitely not identical on either side.
I'll try to photo it, but it's very worn and I'm not sure of my camera.

...what happened to you, Kuhn? Was that the coin? <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">
