Please pray for Theresa....she is having problems with her heart....

Ma Betty in MO

New member
and has gone into defib with her heart stopped like a dead person amd being brought back by the dr! The dr. wants her to go to Lexington, Ky, a rather far distance from where she lives and have a surgery procedure done, which might or might not be a good thing! Please pray for God's healing for her to be made well, healthy and strong ASAP! She doesn't post but does lurk and prays for anyone needing prayer! Thank you all for your prayers for Sis Theresa! Amen! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for hearing and answering our prayers for your child, Theresa! Amen! Ma Betty

Heavenly Father, We come to You this morning to thank You and praise You for all you do in our lives. Father ... Theresa's in need of your care and blessing and we pray You will watch over her and grant her all she needs to replenish her health. We ask You, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Hey Ma, I am praying! Where does Theresa live? I don't think I've every known, but obviously not too far from us if they want her to go to Lexington. We are about 80 miles from University of Ky hospital and Theresa, if you are reading this (or MA please tell her), The UK medical center is wonderful. IF I were to have anything seriously wrong with me, I have informed Travis to make sure I get there. If would not be our first choice by any means distance wise, but it's wonderful. Many family members have gone there for treatment and it is clean, state of the art and the intensive and critical care facilities are brand new and amazing. The only real downside I can think of is that it is a training hospital, so one tends to have many different doctors collaborating on each case. That CAN get a bit confusing. I don't know a lot about their cardiac facility, but it should be top notch. I have an arrythmia problem myself and it's been suggested that is the place to go for ablations....

Just a short story about the last time we were there: Travis's young cousin (I asked the forum to pray for her) was there for an extended amount of time due to stomach paralysis and dystonia. We had made the trip to visit her one weekend and as we were leaving, we had to pass a rather large commons area. We heard music and looked over the balcony (the area was several stories high) and saw a baby grand piano. The pianist was playing amazing grace and the vocalist sounded like an angel. They were obviously complete strangers, but their arrangement was beautiful. Without a doubt the most beautiful performance of that song I had EVER heard. Travis and I were in awe! We left that day with a very positive feeling about our cousins illness and soon after, her drs were able to get her straightened out. She is now back at work and doing fine!

Liz I live in the far south west tip of VA..right near the KY/TN borders. My husband said he imagined it would be 4 to 5 hours to Lexington. I thought it would be farther. An ablation is what my Doctor wants me to have. I've had the shock treatment twice and it lasted 13 days the first time and 23 the second. My heart runs way too fast when I'm in Afib and my b/p gets way too high. I've been on coumedin about 2 years now. I don't think the success rate if very high so I haven't decided if I'm going to have it or not.

Thanks Liz, and I hope she reads your post, as I couldn't remember all of that to send an email! LOL! Not familiar with a lot of medical terms, but she lives in VA, I believe and I pray she has her medical problem taken care of....that hospital sounds like a good place to go with the Christian attitude of piano music and song, Amazing Grace how sweet the sound! I glad everything turned out okay for Travis' cousin through the loving grace of God and Jesus our blessed Savior! It is amazing how the medical people can perform healing surgery, even on the heart....Carolyn's husband, David had a new valve put into his heart and is sick but still going...better than me I must say although he has a lot of health problems but is younger than me! Now, he has been to a cancer dr and has schlerois of the liver because of his drinking a lot when younger, smoking and burning the candles at both ends in the taverns and pool halls....he has since been saved but a price is paid when misuing and abusing the body! He worked as a bricklayer and breathed a lot of the cement dust....he has COPD, also! So all you young people, please take better care of your bodies...because like car parts they do wear out! May God Bless each of us with godlly wisdom and Scriptural knowledge! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks Theres for posting, as I was thinking, I don't know if I can remember to type all the info Liz gave.... so now I'll put it in God's hands to give you His guidance in what to do by His Holy Spirit, so you will have no doubt in what you are to do by having believing faith in His plan for you! Ma Betty

Praying. Yeah I was amazed at how nice the hospital was.The new part was unlike any hospital I have ever seen.

Healing, peace, and comfort!

Sorry to hear about your problem! Got you in my prayers. Please keep us posted.

Sorry to hear the success rate isn't too high. I suppose it all has to do with WHERE the electrical issue is in the heart. Afib episodes are scary...I've never had one, but understand them. I have PVC's and they are bad enough :( No one understands what arrythmias can do to your life until experiencing them for yourself. 7cents dad has an arrythmia that causes him to throw clots and he has been on coumadin for quite awhile. He actually ended up in ICU with pulmonary embolism and it was pretty messy. He is on a large dose of anti-arythmias but they don't really solve the problem. He also just had a double pacemaker put in. Hang in there, girl. I pray GOD will give you peace about what you need to do! If you have any questions, ask!
