I am going in for back surgery here in Kuwait. The Dr. seems very competent, and I have already prayed about this and received a peaceful feeling about the outcome of the procedure. I am certain that I will be able to walk comfortably very soon. Please pray for my wife who will have to put up with me when I return home. She is my greatest blessing and she works so hard.
Thanks,
John Morton

Welcome to the forum. Prayers on the way. Are you in the military over there?

Mike,
Nope, I am a lion tamer. Sort of. I work in a school teaching bedouin boys how to use a computer. At least that is how I support myself. My wife teaches 2nd grade on the girls side at the same school. Our main job here is to set a good example as Christians living in a non-Christian society. We cannot share the faith with a Muslim, but we know that there are many here who are very curious. There is an active Christian community here. Much effort is put into charity and rescue work. We hope and pray that our efforts will at least soften the hearts of those we are in contact with.

Having been in this situation, I have developed a strong sense that all the divisions in the Christian world are playing into Satan's hands. We may have many differences with other Christians, but we do need to drop any hostility and form connections with each other.

Thanks,
John Morton

Praying for you to have a successful surgery and a quick recovery! One of our members is Steve in Michigan and he is having back surgery today or has had it already! My prayers are with him as well as you! May God bless you and your wife with the Christian work you are doing while overseas and may Jesus through your teachings and His love reach many to melt their hearts and turn them to serving and worshiping Him! Amen! Ma Betty

Brothers and Sisters,
I suirvived. I am home and recovering. I had an epiphany. Pain is a gift from God.
Maybe I am crazy, but here is the explaination. If going to Hell is total seperation from God's mercy, Then the pain in our soul would be infinite and eternal.
As we get older and experience various kinds if bodily and spiritual pain, I think that it is a reminder to us to keep our feet on the straight and narrow.
I am already feeling better, and I am able to walk. I will try to check bak in every few days,

Dr. says not to sit much. I can walk with my walker, or lay flat on my back.Should be back at work in 3 or 4 weeks.

Thanks,
John Morton

"Almighty God, thank you for touching the hearts of all those who sent up prayers for my wife and myself. Thanks you fr all the blessings you have given them in the past, all those that you give them today, and all those you give to them in the future, AMEN"

Praise God for His mercy upon you during and after your back surgery! Pray by faith believing and all will be as it should be as our Lord's plan unfolds in our lives! Pain is a blessing, for if we didn't feel pain when touching something hot enough to burn or when feeling and handling sharp items we would be in grave danger for sure! When we have pain when hurting and after surgery, the nerves let the drs and us know that we are healing which is good to the drs' and surgeons' ears! Pain is also a warning that something is wrong with our bodies and our organs in not working like they should so there is good and bad in everything! Will continue prayer for you, your wife and everyone....Hope and pray that you will be healed quickly and back to work with your wild lions soon! ;) :) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
