I am taking a hiatus from metal detecting. Just too many things to do and not enough time. I will be lurking, as this forum is the best one out there for anything and everything.
So, why post this 'news' here? My real reason is I want to emphasize the forum sponsors. They are a reason this forum works well. I have not had the pleasure to do business with every forum sponsor, but I would not hesistate in doing so and I ENCOURAGE everyone to go to the forum sponsors first becasue they truly are the backbone of the hobby/sport.
I just sold my detector and posted something there which I will repost, partly, here. Please see below.
Best wishes - and thank you to all for your contributions to make me that much wiser about a great hobby.
See y'all further on down the road.....
From my posting once my detector sold:
On a personal note, I must thank the forum sponsors here who continue to be, as I understand it, the key financial support for the forum. I have found all the sponsors with whom I have had dealings to be honorable and forthright folks. Specifically, Richard Robinson at Backwoods Detector Sales has been a great source of information, a superior provider of excellent products (used and new) and a person who epitomizes the integrity of our hobby/sport. And another person whom I think has been a great source and easy to work with is Don Dodson at North Georgia Relics & Detectors. Please ensure that you support your local metal detector dealer and/or the forum sponsors - he/she will support you all the way, all of the time.
