I think that decision can be very important and I have been praying amont a couple here close in town and I just want to know I'm making the right decision on a church home.

Prayers for God's Spiritual guidance to direct your footsteps on the very path to the church that he would have you to partake of with a wise and godly preacher! Amen! May God Bless! Ma Betty

Will do . You are right picking a church is a big deal . God has work for you to do and if you are in the wrong church your job may already be filled in that church. Somewhere there is a church missing part of its body and we are praying yall know which church that is . Because that church needs you.

First, seek Gods' will for you. God has a church home for you. Sometimes we chose a church based upon our own desires. We may like the music, or the Pastor, or maybe our friends go there. I left a church about 4 years ago that I had been at for almost 15 years. All my friends were there, I felt comfortable there. I was a church officer and all that. God called me to go to a church on the other side of the city. I did not understand why. Did not know many people there, had not heard good things about the church, did not know the Pastor at all. I followed Gods' call, and he has blessed me over and over. It is easy to get out of the so-called habit of going to church. Once we stop for awhile, the longer we go without going to church, the harder it is to get back there. Satan will work hard, very hard to keep you away. Go to a BIBLE BELIEVING CHURCH. If they don't teach the Bible is completely true from front to back, don't go. Don't go just because it makes you feel good, go because God says it is where HE wants you to be.

Major concern where ever you look and finally decide is....Is the Word of God first and final authority? Too many places use the Word of God but say it is out of date and needs to make people 'feel good'. So the Word has to be first and final authority...not what people want to 'feel' it should say but what God DOES say where it makes us 'feel good' or not. God's Word is Truth and all else is deception and lies.

If Jesus is not being given honor and praise but others are seeking honor and praise for 'what I have done or am doing' then that is not the right place to be. Our reward is in Heaven and beating our chests and patting our selves on the back here is counter to what God's Word says. Give praise and honor to God (the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit).

Gossip is the killer of churches. Any gossiping going on....stay away and pray. Don't get caught into that snare of the devil.

Those are a few things we looked for when we looked for churches in this area after we moved up here. Amazing the number of churches that didn't make the 'cut'. We even started our own home church. That has ended. We now go to an excellent church - though small (small town). The Pastor prays with us all that God will use him and direct the words of his mouth to say that which God's Holy Spirit would have him speak. Never have I left without learning more than before I walked in. Many others say the same. Good to have a Pastor asking he be an instrument of God instead of 'preaching what he thinks would be a good topic - or one from someone else.

Will be praying God directs you to the place He wants you to be.

Very important decision!

Praying. It's can be a very hard decision. Travis and I were raised in very different churches and we have always struggled with our church home.
