Went detecting to a local park and ended up with a decent find. I found the soil to be to wet and muddy so walked over to a volley ball court that looked like it had been recently recovered with fresh sand. I decided to detect the area and was not finding many signals. the detector after ground balancing was the quietest I had ever heard the F70 before. I finally got a signal about 4 inches deep and dug up a eye bolt about 10 inches long. I continued sweeping the sand and found a clad dime at about 10 inches, Then a clad stinkin Lincoln a little later. After a long period of silence I marked a weak signal of a quarter at 12 inches. I dug until I was about 12 inches deep and still no quarter. I got a signal from my pinpointer in the wet sand so dug a little more. I started sifting the deep sand at about 14 inches with my kitty litter sifter and noticed a couple of shiny coins in the sifter. They were quarters. I ended up with 6 quarters out of that hole. Not one of them was silver but one was a centennial quarter and the oldest one was a 1966 quarter. That made a great day for me. Inclosed is a photo of the coins. I find it amazing how deep the F70 can find deep coins. Thanks for reading my post.
