Pocket UniProbe

I bought one of these pocket UniProbes awhile back before I got the X-1 probe for my Explorer XS and I was wondering if anyone else has this pocket probe and had any problems with a lot of noise interference between it and the detector? I have tried turning the frequency control knob on the probe and noise cancel on my Explorer, but nothing seems to help. I like the depth this probe has, but with all the noise interference I think I may have wasted my money. Thanks for any advice on this. HH.

You have to put the detector on the ground with the coil pointed away from the probe. I use one in headphones and with the control and keeping the coil pointed away from the probe it works find. It is very sensitive as you say which is why it will detect the electromagnetic field fo the detector.

However, I also use an X1 and don't have that problem so passed the UniProbe on to my son. Ha ha

Like you guys I own both the pocket probe and the Sunray XI.
I prefer the pocket probe but my Exploder MKII does not.
I found the Headset version not to my liking as they seemed heavy and passed them on.
To me the uniprobe seems a bit deeper and the probe itself being smaller in diameter is a added advantage.
