Sleeping again

The doctor came in and gave us the blood count and everything seems okay for today. His platelets were half of what they were yesterday but he didn't mention getting any today. They are releasing him from his IV pole during the day now so he can move about freely. He will get his fluids overnight. His white count is still 0.100 and will probably stay that way for another week or so until they start building up again.

His lumbar test was not a good one this week. The doctor who did it had to try three times to get fluid so his back looks like a pincushion. The first one only took one try. But at least he won't have to have another one for a month or so.

He can have a couple of visitor's at a time as long as they haven't been around anyone with a cold or illness and don';t have anything themselves. I think it helps him keep his spirits up. The only requirement is to wash your hands when you come in.
