Post a reply 1 post • Page 1 of 1 NEL 13" x 14" DD Storm Coil - for Teknetics T2 - T2 SE - T2

My Question is has anyone used the Nel Storm Coil on the T2 SE, and is it deeper than the teknetics 15" Coil and is it lighter than the teknetics 15" coil?

Is it as deep as the 15'' Teknetics coil,if i am honest i would possibly say 'yes' if not then they are not far apart,is the NEL Storm lighter it most certainly is,the biggest killer for the 15'' coil is the weight and why teknetics ever made such a heavy coil is beyond me,that is why they started selling them off at almost give away prices with the DST upgrade offer.

Most folks who even bought them at the lower price off loaded them very quickly due to the weight, the Storm is slightly heavier than the stock coil but is able to be swung all day,its still pretty sensitive also to small coin size items as well, usually as you go up in size with coils they of course do go deeper but with larger targets and not as sensitive to smaller finds, the NEL Storm bucks this trend as its still pretty good on nailing small roman minims and small hammered coin, which are pretty small.

I do own a 15'' coil that i picked up brand new at a give away price but not used it in 12 months due to the weight,of course the decision is yours but be warned about the larger coil.
