Welcome back diggindirt! Sounds like you've started off on the right foot.

If you haven't bought the Sunray in-line probe yet get one. It will be the best accessory you'll ever buy for you're detector.

:detecting:The Buffalo nickel is 1920, 1 indian-head penny can't make out the date, 1 Dutch penny 1925, 1 silver dime 1954, did get a 1909 wheat penny, the other wheat pennies are from the 40s. The one I'm not sure about is the button shaped one???? It has a nice green patina (doesn't show in photo) and showed copper on the target id and was about 10" down. A friend suggested it was a colonial period button of some sort, however I'm not so sure. Anyway, thanks for the great posts and information.

Great finds! I love those old coins and silver. Man you are doing great. The lead thing I believe is an old dress weight. They were sewn in the bottom hem of a dress to keep the wind from blowing them up. I have found a few over the years. Good Luck and keep the pics coming.

Way to go, diggindirt. Not bad for just having got your Quatro. I'm glad you like it and glad you have Andy's book. They certainly go hand in hand.
