You guys that are getting your new Black F75s in post up some pictures of them. I wanna see. I want to see what they look like in real world situations.

I'm liking it more every hour I spend with it. It's my first Fisher, so it's taking time to learn it. For me that's a big part of this hobby- the thrill of learning and discovering a new machine. Can't wait to post some pics of finds when I find something good. HH. Matt.

Well looks like I might sell my current F75 in order to purchase the LTD. Lets see what I can do.

Zax, just paint the shaft black.......nobody will know the difference!!

Roland I hear ya. I honestly just want the Boost Process mode. I wish I could just order one of the LTD control boxes for the machine.

The standard F75 has the Bp (boost) process. It's just not quite as potent as the LTD. [this is only what I have been told and read regarding the extra capabilities of the LTD, if this is not correct, please feel free to post any exceptions] In addition to the Boost Process, the standard F75 also has the Cache process. In fact, I believe it has all the same processes......the LTD just has a different processor and software that allows it to see deeper.

I was hoping I could remove this post, but, I can't. I am completely wrong about the standard F75 having the Boost and Cache processes. Please excuse the newbie mistake.......I hate it when I make a bad statement. I'll try not to let it happen again, promise.

In my own defense, I had downloaded the manual from the internet before I received my machine and, obviously, I got the LTD manual. Looking in the manual that came with my standard model, those processes were not there! Whodathunkit? Once again, my apologies for the bad skinny.

Aww man it is cool. I just want the new one. I love my F75. It is a relic monster. I'm on here right now looking for a place to go dig tomorrow. Gotta be Civil war stuff.

I know I love it. Heck I just wish I could change out my Gold rods for black rods. Don't want to paint the gold rod's cause I don't like scratches.

Just the "S" bar on mine is gold color, the straight ones are black.........is that the way all the standard models look?

Okay, Zax, it is a day later....did you find any Civil War stuff today?

To answer your question Roland..YES I DID!

Granted it is one bullet. I also dug a 1929 wheat cent..Very green..A couple of zinc P.B. CO. Patented Dec. 9, 1924 buttons and various odds and ends. 2 significant finds for sure. Out in the middle of a plowed field. The 1929 Wheat made me sit down in the dirt and look around and think about what it was like during the Great Depression. Really hit home in the middle of that field. Good hunt for sure.

Nothing wrong with that! I'm not familiar with the P.B. Co. buttons. I looked them up on the net and didn't find much. How about a pic of yours? I found a metal button a few days ago, It is clean on one side and covered with something black and very hard on the other, so, I don't know if it has any writing. This button is convex on both sides and about 3/8" diameter. The button is black and shows no corrosion, but, I am still trying to figure out how to remove the junk on one side without hurting the button. May try soaking it in WD-40, in case it is a tar like substance.

Your experience after finding the 1929 wheatie is very understandable. Thinking about the history of whatever you dig is a big part of my enjoyment of MD'ing......I just wish I had started many years ago!

Pictures you want pictures you get
Couple of Stripper clips, lock etc..

Zax, thank you for taking the time to post the pictures......that stuff is just double cool. The button I found looks very similar, but, I haven't been able to see the back of it yet (still need to try soaking it in WD-40). Out of curiosity, what are the two items on the left of the 'V' nickel and buttons? The ones that look like bent spools?

I have got to find some better places to hunt......all I find are new coins. I know, I've only been out about 8 times now, but, one would think there would have been a 'wheatie' in the group, at least!!

Roland If I am not mistake I believe they are some kind of rivet. Maybe off of a saddle or some other leather good. Well you know I used to find tons of clad. Now that I have just about cherry picked all of the sites where I used to find clad i don't dig as much. Lately I have been searching for the oldies. I love digging clad don't get me wrong. It adds up. I kinda miss it. Couple of years ago I bought a Vibra Probe 570 with only money I found detecting. $130.00 worth.
