XTerra 50 swing speed....Read a comment on the MXT forum that the M6 with the small coil in trashy areas works very well with a slow swing speed. My XT50 doesn't work very well with a slow swing speed, seems to lose depth. Since the M6 is a 14 KHz freq machine, I just wonder if the XT50 will work the same way with a small coil in the 18.75 freq as far as a slow swing speed goes? Thanks, John

I had asked the question about slow sweep speeds before and gotten a different answer. Loss of depth using a slow sweep is the one thing I have against the Excel. I was hoping the 50 was better.

About 1 ft/sec is what I consider slow, how did the 50 do for you?

Tom

The XT50 has a tendency to lose depth, have to sweep at moderate speed to get the depth. Maybe it will be different with the small coil, maybe sweep moderately but just tighter. HH John
