Dr. William Nesbitt, my doctor is down in Haiti this week doing relieft work. He flew down to the Dominican Republic and hooked up with a missionary couple from our church who have a mission work in the Dominican. They took a group over to Port Au Prince to set up a field hospital. Pray that they can help these people recover their health.

Sad thing I read the other day is that only one penny out of every dollars given in donation to the Haitians gets to them....someone is stealing the other 99 cents or misusing it so it doesn't go as far as it should have.

It has to be a hot, dirty and smelly job to try and help the Haitians, for like here there are those who kill, steal and destroy what work and money that good, caring people do provide! Having to do without food, clean water and housing sure has to be difficult to bear, and who knows it may be in our nation again like New Orleans' people suffered and in other city's, too, possibly even worse, as long as most people keep turning away from God and His only begotten Son, Jesus!
I pray that all the Haitians get the help they need and turn to God and accept Jesus as their own Savior during these trials and hardships! Praying for those there trying to do good work and giving of themselves to help all those in need! May God get the glory and praise in this disaster brought on by satan's evil ways and not God's, although His mercy and grace endureth forever, He will do what needs to be done for ending sin and fullfilling His plans! May God Bless them in Haiti for better lives and overcoming their trials by loving, worshipping and glorifying Him in the name of Jesus! Amen!

Voodoo is quite prevalent down there. Some have had dead chickens thrown at them, I guess to try and put the curse on them. One guy just jumped out of the car and started kicking the dead chicken around and yelling at the voodoo priest that his fake god had nothing on the REAL GOD. Is that cool or what.

They also stick pins in Voodoo Dolls to bring curses and pain to the one(s) they are doing it to, but God is greater than satan or anything he tries to do through unbelievers who don't know any different or refuse to believe in Jesus! May God have mercy on their lost souls and help them to draw nearer to Him and be saved in Lord Jesus Christ! Amen! Ma Betty
