Pray for us in South County.....rainy weather and the tornado siren is going off...will be back with you tomorrow, I hope and pray! Ma Betty

WIll do Betty!! We are supposed to have severe weather all day Monday!!

I sure hope so. Prayers for protection on the way!

Hi ya all....yes, Ma is back and doing just fine....really quite a storm here and all over Southern MO, down Southward into TN and etc. We had blowing rain, hail and tornadic winds...one tornado touched down in Concord Village which is really close to where I live...within a five mile radius, telephone poles and wires were down and laying across I-44 which runs through from North to South across ST. Louis and it was closed in both lanes because of the danger! One telephone pole had wires wrapped around it and was flaring brightly way up into the air often....really something to see by the weather news' cameras! I also watched the main weather map news and Oklahoma was having the storms and also ILL! Quite a rukus going on but I haven't heard of any deaths as yet, and sure hope and pray there weren't any! My main prayer was for protection from the tornadic winds and for the power to stay on, as I had bought food and didn't want it to spoil! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for answering my prayers and others, too! STill in danger of more bad weather today.....very cloudy and gusting winds off of the tornados where they did touch down! May God Bless and keep us all safe from the weather and from satan's evilness! Amen! Ma Betty

Glad you're OK!!! We are getting that weather today. However, most of the more severe storms have been to our north. We are under a tornado watch today but so far nothing much has happened. They are expecting it to ratchet up this afternoon. Guess we'll see what happens. Nothing new for these parts. Severe thunderstorms & tornadoes are all too common here. :-( Hoping this afternoon will be calmer than expected. The winds are HORRIBLE though!!! Gusts up to 50 mph!

Thanks everyone for your prayers....I called my sister who lives below Rolla, MO and they had rain and winds with their main phone line out, but they are doing okay! Haven't heard from my cousin Lois, who lives just outside of Memphis in Southaven, MS which was in the path of the storms! Just want to say OOOOPs....I said that I-44 runs North and South but doesn't it runs East and West going over the Miss River into IL....I goof a lot!  The bad weather seems to have gone, as we have lots of sunshine and the wind has calmed down to what it was this morning! Hope all is well for each of you in the paths of the rain, hail and tornadic winds! May our Lord keep each one safe with their families and their properties! The weather people said this storm was a lot like the one we had Dec 31, 2010 when it destroyed a lot of homes in Sunset Hills, which isn't that far from me either and caused some deaths in MO! I Praise God and Thank Jesus for protecting me and my loved ones! Amen! Ma Betty

Glad you are a-okay! I think most of us on the forum has had bad weather to contend with. We had tornado warnings this morning and 60-80 mph winds. It was scary! this morning I had my interview at 9 and I got in the shower early hoping I could get my hair washed and dried quickly in case the power went out. Silly me didn't take a flashlight in the bathroom and guess what? Got suds all in my hair and the lights went out. They came right back on, but not before Loren woke up scared and started screaming. I jumped out of the shower soaking wet......it was crazy. That's how my day started, Ma.

Well, Liz, I sure hope the rest of the day went better and Loren isn't scared any more from the early storm and winds! Really been wierd what is going on...the tornadic winds just jump in and out and speed to the next place...some get destruction and others stay okay! It was spread over several states up North and then went South towards you! Earthquakes are increasing more and more, also! Arkansas has had a lot of them but are 4 point and under! Sure hope they don't get any more powerful like the one that shook up New Zealand recently! Are the people waking up to Who God is? I certainly hope so and start praying and/or keep praying for God's mercy and grace in Jesus' precious and holy name! Amen! Ma Betty
