Thank you all once again for your prayers for my son Michael. He did not join the MARINES.But you all allready knew that.
He jist got home and this morning he raised his right hand and was sworn into the
UNITED STATES ARMY
He will be leaving home and reporting to FORT JACKSON South Carolina on 8 May 2007.
Of course he did not get the "safe" job that he was promised but he went in none-the-less.
only those of you with your own children serving or have served can know the PRIDE & fear that i feel.
Like i told ya before, his 2 brothers have 5 combat tours between them since 9-11 and our LORD graciously let them both return home physicaly unharmed.
Thank you all for your prayers once again and please continue to pray that our LORD blesses this family with His grace one more time and returns our youngest son safely back home.
PS, for those of you that are MARINES, i mean no dissrespect to you or the CORP.I would have been just as ,maybe even more, proud to have my son become a MARINE.Their recruting tactics were/are...well......dishonest to say the least and you know as well as i do that this eastern civil war our young men and women are dying in is.......well..i'm sure you know what i mean......like i said....our LORD blessed this family twice in this war and i had real,(call me selfish if you must), issues with and flat out fear sending my youngest son off for a 3rd "chance".
