Prayer request....

Please be in prayer for a family that is very dear to me. Today, at 4:00pm, a plane crashed in front of Loren's elementary school. It was a small plane and the front of the plane was completely ripped away, two were stat-flighted and one was taken via ambulance. Josh Marksbury was pilot and his son Jacob was passenger, unsure of the third person. Josh and his wife Jamie live in our local community, he is a pilot and she is a pharmacist...they are wonderful people and wonderful parents. They are one of the few couples our age whom I feel truly love each other and their children. I can't imagine what Jamie is going throught right now. It is huge in our local community and my heart goes out to them. It seems very appropriate to be saying this, but had the crash been a few minutes earlier, many would have been injured. In fact, Loren and I pulled out of the parking lot at 3:38, right in the path of the crash.

I will pray for them ok. I'm glad no one else was hurt including you ok. God did Bless you on this one for sure. Best wishes. PEACE:RONB

Praying right now!
Pray the Lord can use you to go and comfort her.

We just found out that the dad is in critical condition. The mother is in serious condition. And the little son is in serious condition but doing good . Continue the prayers please. I drove by the crash on the wy home and it was horrible. And then just a few minutes ago they showed his and her picture on the news. That was hard to see. I never thought I would see plane crash in my life and then to see one that you knew the passengers of is really crazy . Keep the family in your prayers please. Thank you. Travis

Sorry to hear about the plane crash, Liz and Travis! Praying for this family in Jesus' name for His mercy and grace to perform miracle healings and let the whole family live and be together here on earth! Dear Father in Heaven, Please be with this family and help them to mend and be okay and give peace and comfort with Your loving arms wrapped arount them along with their friends and loved ones! Give them strength to go through and the power to overcome whatever happens because of the plane wreck, but we know You are a caring and loving God and nothing is impossible for You to do when we pray in Jesus' name and give You the honor, glory and praise for all that you do for Your Children and those we love! Thank You, Lord, for hearing and answering our prayers for Josh Marksbury and family! Amen! Ma Betty

Wow, Barker. That's crazy that a small plane crashing in a little town so far away would make it on your local stations. Amazing. I guess, considering the fact that he was a commercial pilot AND had his whole family on board AND that the plane crashed in front of a school is newsworthy. Thanks for the prayers.

Thanks to all for the prayers. The family is in pretty rough shape, but hanging on so far. The local support, concern and prayer network has been awesome. The little boy, Jacob, suffered a broken jaw which was fixed surgically yesterday. He is doing pretty well and has been upgraded to fair condition. I feel for this little guy so much...four years old, hurt and scared and having neither of his parents with them. He was alert at the time of the crash and screaming for his mother who could not respond to him. Heartbreaking. Jamie (the mother and wife) is reported to have a broken neck and is being held in a medically induced coma at this time. When she is allowed to wake up briefly, she is aware of family and friends. The dad and pilot (Josh), is still critical......heard yesterday that a shunt was put in to relieve pressure and that pressures were holding steady. His CT came back okay on his spine, so he was able to be propped up to help his breathing. He is also in a medically induced coma. Keep the prayers coming!!!

Praying for all involved, Liz.

of His faithful saints! Thank you for the update! I also feel for the 4 year old boy, as he is so young and doesn't understand what is happening to him and his parents! Please, dear Lord, give this young lad peace and comfort him in his distress and please have mercy upon them all and heal their bodies and make them whole in Jesus' precious, holy name! Amen! Ma Betty

Yes, Ma. I have complete faith that GOD is in control and everything will work out according to his will. I'm quite sure that my friends are Christian people and the prayers that are going up for them are being heard. I"m pleased to say that their conditions seems to be improving somewhat today and while they are not out of the woods, things are looking a bit more positive. Jamie has a punctured lung and several broken ribs and becoming more and more coherant. She was able to recognize her mother. Josh is going to have some serious reconstruction to his face when he is well enough. He has a shunt in his brain, but praise GOD, they haven't had to relieve any pressure yet....that is a great sign. I am just heartbroken over the tragedy that they are having to endure and I guess, right now, I am more concerned over their emotional health. To be in their prime, on top of the world and promising careers and to be dealt so much uncertaintly. Of course, these things can fade at any time....material things aren't what we should be living for anyhow.
