From the land of the Bluenose...my step father is going in for knee replacement soon. Had a visit with the doctor and he is grossly overweight and a diabetic too boot. He's in for a rough ride for sure. After this one is done he'll have to return later to get the other done!
 
Best wishes and prayers, knees are something else, just got mine all taken care of, no operation, just braces, works good, just kinda hard to get used to <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
 
Sure will pray for him ! My mother had 2 knees replaced this last year - 82 years old, doing fine - not problems like your S father tho, Steve in so az
