I will pray that God's will be done in his life. However, you've often heard it said, "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink".

So many times we are our own worst enemy. He hasn't gotten serious about his condition. Maybe he hasn't had that eye opening experience or hit rock bottom to make him realize what is at stake concerning his health. You can compare it to losing weight, trying to get out of debt, trying to stop doing drugs or drinking alcohol, stop watching porn (for some people), drinking sodas, etc. For some people it just isn't an easy thing to overcome or an easy habit or addiction to kick. It could be that he is a food addict (yes, there is such a thing). We ALL struggle with one issue or another, whether we want to admit it or not. I deal with criminals and addicts every single day and I've seen, first hand, the temptations & struggles they deal with. And I know what my own issues are that I deal with. We say we know better than to be doing some of the things we do, and we acknowledge that it isn't good for us, but sometimes it's just so dang hard to take control and do what we know we ought to be doing. I hope he wises up and will get serious about his health and will make up his mind (determination) to make the changes he needs to make. The Word says that "Our weapons are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds." Sounds like he has a stronghold in the area of his eating habits (so do I). Prayer is most definitely one of our weapons!
