upset if you just bought a 70 as I have. They still work the same as before when everyone said they are GREAT,which they are.. X-terra 100...HMMMMM

the top of the X-Terra series. Some manufacturers mess things up by creating too many models in a particular series, with the only difference from the lowest to the next being a simple feature or two such as adding Coin Depth, or maybe static Pinpoint mode, etc.

All three X-Terra's provide the basics of Pinpoint, selectable '0' (zero) discrimination (All Metal accept) or full-range notch rejection, Numeric TID, Coin Depth Reading, etc. They provide enhanced adjustments and/or features as you move from the X-T 30 to the X-T 50 and then X-T 70 such as more notch segments for a more refined setting (12 to 18 to 2:geek:, expanded/enhanced Sensitivity adjustments and other basic adjustment features. More "Pattern" or "custom" modes ... with memory, (1 to 2 to 3), the addition of Manual GB, then the option of Manual, Auto, or Tracking GB, manual or Auto Noise Cancel with the X-T-70 and many many more.

I seriously think that Minelab, like any manufacturer, might make some running revisions here or there is they feel it necessary, but I doubt that there will be an X-Terra 100.

If you hunt some of the places I hunt, at night, you're taking your life in your hands. I have made some good finds because most hunters are leary of going in there. I do carry a gun. John

Last October, when we were all excited about the release of the X-30 and X-50, a post was made to this forum about their hopes for an X-100. I responded that you wouldn't get an X-100. You would have to settle for an X-30 and an X-70. Simple math, crystal ball or lucky guess??? Regardless, with the exception of Reaney, my comment went unchallenged.
When the 18.75 kHz coil was released, we found the higher frequency coil had a serial number starting with the letter "H". Those of us using the stock 7.5 kHz coils knew their serial number started with the letter "M". Figuring that "M" stood for medium and "H" stood for high, it became obvious that Minelab must have plans for an "L", representing a lower frequency coil. Why else would they have an "M" and an "H"? If there was only going to be two, wouldn't they have been an "L" and "H" Following the logic that the X-30 could only accomodate the "M" 7.5 kHz, and the X-50 could accomodate either the "M" 7.5 kHz or the "H" 18.75 kHz, a lower frequency coil ("L") would require a new model of X-Terra that could accept it. A model not available at that time. With hindsight being 20/20, we can now see that it was going to be the X-70.

Looking back...... yep, there were some clues for the X-70. But I haven't seen anything that makes me suspect there will be an X-100.
