It never gets old finding coins in this kind of shape. I found this one near a nail in a spot that I must have been over 50 times in the past. To my amazement it was actually imbedded in the plug...only 3 inches down. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin"> <img src="/metal/html/tongue.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":b">

Unfortunately it isn't a 1903S...I'm still waiting for that one. The more I look at this thing I'll have to agree that its pushing AU. Something that I've noticed with nice silver pulled out of the ground is that one side always looks better then the other. Its probably the case that the up side gets more wear then the down side although I've never been able to confirm this. With this dime the reverse has mint luster and the obverse does not.
Regardless of the quality it still made my day. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">
Take care,
