I had a pretty good day out on the beach. I have been trying to set my machine up a little different lately on the beach to reach deeper into the sand for those old list items. Set the F70 up today at disc 1, sens 70, thres -2, tones 4h, we discovered a swim spot on our lake that hasn't been detected yet, or at least not very well. We are finding quarters and tons of pull tabs, so that leads me to believe its virgin ground so to speak. I figure anyone with a paper plate on a stick can find quarters that are to deep. After two morning of hunting I found a very nice pendant with what I had hoped were real diamonds, but after two stops at a jewelry store and a local pawn shop I was let down, never the less it's 7.24 grams of 14k and that's better than a stick in the eye any day. It came in at a solid 27 with full confidence. It was maybe 2 inches down, when I leaned the shovel over it was shining through the clumps of dirt, pretty exciting. I can't wait to get out and gather up some more gold.
