Problems with Goldquest..

I lent my Goldquest to my son last year. I just got it back. The battery pack had some corrosion from the batteries. I removed and cleaned the battery holder and replaced the batteries.. Took it out for a try at Zuma. Kept getting constant falsing and had to use my Sov. Need some help, any suggestions. Maybe I need to send it in for a check up.

Sounds like a poor connection, possibly from some of the corrosion, take your VOM and do a little checking...Mines gonna get a workout soon I'll see if I can trap a nugget or so with it...HH...Geo

Have you called Bill? how old is it? curious why corrision on battery box? signal is from circuity, not power, I would think, unless there is corrision on that, have you opened to look?

is make sure there is no beach sand or anything in the connection pins between the housing and your coil wire plug and he connection pins are clean, this is a killer if there is sand or anything there...HH...Geo ....
