Barbara and I will be heading to Rye Patch, Nevada June 1st and would like to meet up with any CMD forum members while on our trip.

Our general route will be south out of Missoula, Montana, over Lolo pass towards Grangeville, Idaho; continuing on to Weiser, Idaho and following US 95 on into Winnemucca, then south on I-80 to Rye Patch.

We will probably stay there a couple of weeks then head North. If there any CMD folks remotely near our route we would love to meet up with you. Our North bound route is subject to change.

A couple of years ago, our family took a trip around Nevada and Utah. We went to a few ghost towns. We tried to find Rye Patch, but I left my instructions in the back of the car and was going by memory. We went to the wrong place. The instructions on the internet were a little misleading too. If you have a GPS, you should find it with no problem, as it is a well traveled and visited area. You could even stay at the reservoir if you have a camper. There are a couple other really promising areas around there that I would prefer not to mention on the internet(you know...spies!!!). I live remotely near there:), but it might be a little more remote than you want to travel.(remotely mean in Springfield Oregon). Oh, be prepared for ticks!

I believe it is the one in N.W. Nevada, about 35 miles south of Winnemucca on I-80.
