Pull Tab Beach a Detectors Nightmare- 12 Rings - :crylol:Must Read

New member
:crylol:Had to show you this!
It took me about three hours this morning to mentally prepare myself for this Outing - to - Pull tab Beach
I set knowing that I was going to dig 800 + holes or every pull tab, no matter what
They dont allow fishing on this side of the lake - only drinking??
I diddnt include the hundred or so old screw off caps in my picture, my pouch keep getting full - had to empty it to make room for the pull tabs
But I was still able to get the gold!!
Just wanted to show you how hard I really had to work.
The diamond earing - I found on top of the ground while I was setting up my grids. Bonus

Grid It and Dig It

WTG MrChile!!!! Nice bunch of rings you found and they are so colorful! Just kidding! You did pretty well digging all those pulltabs. Nice gold and silver you found once again and by the end of this year, you should be able to retire if you wanted too if you keep the pace up. Great Job and HH.

Nice finds you got there. You deserve every thing you got there. Last year I got the exact cat ring you had pictured. I live in Lake county IL and do alot of water hunting around here and I can relate to the pull tab thing. Also there was alot of hunting around here and we got lots of shot gun shells. Congrats and keep digging everything. Scott:crylol:

You sure showed those nasty old pull tabs who's the boss of the beach is and you got some greats finds too. :super:

Mike

Consider yourself lucky, if i recovered that many rings per that many tabs I would have been rich a long time ago, and I dig my tabs on dry land in hard ground, keep up the good.

Hi Mrchile,

You really have to love the dickhead that designed the those pulltabs surely they could be made from some biodegradable material so we were not plagued with them, however I guess that's our lot in metal detecting life.
The ring in the lower middle centre is it a ring or an earing?, I found one just like the one you have pictured here in Tassie, but I wasn't sure what is was apart from the fact that it was gold.

All the best...Boony.....Tassie....Australia

Here Is the link with a close up of the earing in the water forum
