Pulse induction Detech.

Hi there,

I am a Frenchman and I should wish to know if anyone use a pulse induction metal detector Detech SS3100 (digital) or 2100 (analogic)?
Please what is your experience with these machines?
Many thanks for your help and comments.

They are sold at Accurate Locators .com in the USA and at Joan Allen .co. uk in the UK. But sorry I cannot answer your question about their performancen as I have never used one.

Good machines but more suited to hoard type hunting than rings/coins on beaches. There's a section on them on the French forum http://www.lefouilleur.com

Hi Brian, I have also been very interested in the DETECH PI units at Accurate Locators. I have been emailing an EE in Bulgaria named Plamen and told me he designed and builds these machines for Accurate. But you actually have used them I would take it Brian? Yes I would think they are going to be used for finding large treasures or especially meteorites. If you used one of these, did you find anything? Ok Brian I thank you in advance for your response. I wish you good hunting and be safe.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for your reply and for the link.Le fouilleur is the French importer of Detech metal detectors but I do not have confidence in them.
In fact, their forum is turned round to their own interests and they do not publish all messages...
Good hunting to all members.

That just about sums up the majority of forums but I must say I don't find to much to disagree with on Le fouilleur.
Joan Allen www.joanallen.co.uk sells them in the U.K. and they had a magazine field test from Treasure Hunting or the Searcher magazine that they were giving away but you could be falling into the hands of a biased field tester.

I've used the 2100 with the 40" coil and it worked well and seemed well built but it was the cheapest analoge package without the magnetometer. I would have been interested to see how well the discrimination functioned but it was an archaelogical site so discrimination wasn't a factor.
The field test that was around when the machines launched seemed accurate unlike the one's for the Whites two box which quoted 20 feet depths without mentioning that would be for a metal garage !

Hello.. I have personally used the SSP-2100 and the SSP3100. Both Pulse Induction units will detect very fine non- ferrous and Ferrous metals. It depends heavily on the size of coil you use. example would be if you want to detect fine gold, silver, platinum etc.. and its close to the surface 4' or less i would use the 5" coil that works fantastic. the 14" coil does very good on very very small nuggets and trace of gold from the surface down to 10' for larger objects. the 18" coil does great on the surface for small nuggets upto chest size objects down to 15+ feet. and the 40 x 40" square coil does fantastic down to 20'ft. You can use there new technology at Accurate Locators called the blanket coils they get even deeper detection abilities. Yes I am bias I know the company well, but I also know you can go to there testing facilities and try it before you buy it. The proof is when you physically hold the unit yourself and detect.

Hello!

How works these two machines when the soil is highly mineralized? their discrimination system is really effective?
In fact,we have in France lots of historical sites full of oxidized nails with bricks and tiles...
A VLF-TR metal detector cannot penetrate those difficults grounds!

Hi Nikola Tesla, you need to put a shield on the coil, and then you will not detect the lake. It will then not be Barodetektor.
Best regards.

I see there are people using this detectors. I found a Bulgarian detector Thrace terra 2. Can this detector be compared to the detech? http://weekend-shop.com/shop5/product_info.php?cPath=73_82&products_id=504&osCsid=ab6d30be14d0eff6eb1d4ccc093153c4
